Venezuelan authorities have arrested Wilmer Ignacio Guerrero Ibanez whom Justice Minister Tareck El Aissami calls one of the "bosses of Colombia's most important cartels," and "seized nearly two tons of cocaine." Meanwhile, Colombian authorities have arrested 112 suspected members of the Los Rastrojos cartel in the Choco province near the border with Panama. Los Rastrojos "was created by Wilber 'Jabon' Varela, a drug kingpin who was killed at the beginning of 2008 in neighboring Venezuela" following his split from the Norte del Valle cartel which reputedly is headed by Luis Enrique Calle. Among those reportedly arrested is Carlos Alirio "El Negro Douglas" Gómez Mosquera who is the alleged boss of Los Rastrojos.
