James Galante, previously convicted for controlling the carting industry in Connecticut through a so-called "property rights" scheme which included the use of mob muscle to quash competitition and inflate rates, was sued last Tuesday by Attorney General Richard Blumenthal to recover damages on behalf of injured consumers as reported by Edmund H. Mahony for the Hartford Courant.
