Anthony Palumbo, the reputed Genovese capo who allegedly takes care of the family's New Jersey rackets, has pleaded guilty to a 1992 conspiracy to take out a Russian mob hitman as reported by Robert Gearty for the Daily News. The Russian lived to see another day after Genovese higherups refused to sign onto Palumbo's plans but the Jersey boy still faces ten years for his plotting at a Dec. 3 sentencing hearing.
