Lillo Brancato Jr., the A Bronx Tale star who was sentenced to ten years following his December 2008 conviction for an attempted burglary in a search for drugs during which his accomplice Steven Armento shot and killed off-duty NYPD cop Daniel Enchautegui, apparently fancies himself as a bad boy in prison as reported by the New York Post: "Brancato whaled on a fellow inmate at an upstate prison because the con wouldn't cut short a phone call to his wife." According to Alvaro Hernandez -- the inmate whom Brancato allegedly attacked -- the mobster wannabe "shows little remorse" for his crime, and "obsesses over the mob": "'He got this fetish with the Mafia. Maybe it's the roles he played in the past. He's got this persona like he's acting like he's in the mob,' he said."
Armento, a washed out Genovese associate who had been cut from the crime family due to his drug problem, was convicted for the murder of Enchautegui who had intervened to stop the burglary, and the cop killer was sentenced to life in prison.
