Just stay away, Mel!
Melvyn Weiss, the once high-flying legal eagle who made a fortune bringing security fraud class actions against public companies until imprisoned for paying kickbacks to serial plaintiffs from court-awarded attorneys' fees in the cases, is looking for a way to stay relevant as reported by Peter Lattman for The New York Times. The 75-year-old was disbarred following his conviction but since getting out of the big house he has mailed letters "to about 200 of his former colleagues seeking work as a mediator." So far he's had no takers.
Can't Mel buy some paint-by-numbers kits by which to occupy himself, and let the rest of the world turn without him?
