A law firm which filed a class action lawsuit against Procter & Gamble alleging its newly-launched Dry Max diapers caused rashes on babies' bottoms has agreed to settle the case as reported by David Holthaus for Gannett. However, the class members won't get any cash compensation for their purported injuries. They won't even get a stinkin' coupon for a free box of the diapers. Instead, the consumer product giant which otherwise has denied the allegations will educate the public about diaper rash . . . and pay up to $2.7 million in legal fees to the plaintiffs' lawyers. Well, as a law professor often instructed his idealistic students many years ago: the most important thing in a case is that the lawyers get paid.
