A federal judge has approved a class action settlement in an antitrust case against Sirius XM Radio which pays out $13 million to the trial lawyers who filed the lawsuit but doesn't pay a penny in cash to the purportedly victimized subscribers as reported by Don Jeffrey for Bloomberg. Talk about the tail wagging the dog. The judge was impressed with the settlement because the company agreed not to raise subscription prices for the rest of the year; however, objectors said BFD since Sirius XM apparently never intended on raising prices this year. The Center for Class Action Fairness which represented the subscribers who objected to the settlement plans to appeal the judge's decision.
