Cops: Whacked Mob Boss Fled From Convicted Drug Trafficker's Home

Mob boss Salvatore "Sal the Ironworker" Montagna was last seen in a home owned by convicted drug trafficker Jack Arthur Simpson in Montreal, QB Canada before getting whacked, and although not charged with Montagna's death police have arrested him on an unspecified alleged parole violation as reported by Paul Cherry for The Gazette:  "police believe Montagna, 40, was killed as he exited a house owned by Simpson or that he was shot inside and ran out to elude the shooter."  Curiously, "records state Simpson is not suspected of being part of a specific organized crime group and that he distanced himself from such people while he was behind bars."  Simpson was arrested in Ottawa, and it is unclear whether he was in Montreal at the time Montagna got whacked.
