On Wednesday the feds brought a racketeering indictment against twenty-four suspected members of the Native Mob in Minnesota, and in the course of executing arrest warrants put the state's prison system on lockdown as reported by Nicole Norfleet and Paul Walsh for Minneapolis Star Tribune:
To make sure word about the arrests didn't get out from within the state's prisons, there was a 25-hour lockdown of Minnesota's inmates from Tuesday morning through Wednesday, Department of Corrections spokesman John Schadl said. During the lockdown, inmates were confined to their cells and no incoming or outgoing phone calls to prisoners nor visitors were allowed.
The Native Mob is an Indian gang which has chapters in multiple cities throughout Minnesota, and its activities allegedly include murder, assault, drug trafficking and robbery.
They are called the Native Mob for a reason. We stole this land from the Indians, talk about theft. This country was built on theft, slavery and murder. Theft doesnt get on a more grander scale than taking a whole country away from its native people. Now that's the theft of an eternity.
