Trial lawyer John Edwards has convinced a federal judge to adjourn his corruption trial from January 30th until at least March 26 by citing "a life-threatening heart condition" which requires surgery next month as reported by Bill Mears for CNN:
Edwards is charged with six felony and misdemeanor counts related to donations to and payments from his failed 2008 presidential campaign. He is accused of conspiracy, issuing false statements and violating campaign contribution laws.
The claim of a bad ticker sounds like a delay strategy from a malingering drama queen.
