He's not among New York's finest; rather, he's one of its slimiest.
Former NYPD detective Kyron Collins pleaded guilty last week in Manhattan federal court "to brazenly ripping off cigarette smugglers while wearing his NYPD 'raid' jacket and armed with his service weapon," and under a plea agreement faces up to 71 months in prison for betraying his city and fellow officers as reported by Bruce Golding for the New York Post.
Upon pleading guilty the NYPD promptly fired the sad sack as reported by Robert Gearty for the Daily News.
