The sex trade is booming in Spain where prostitution is legal but an estimated ninety percent of the 200,000 to 400,000 working girls in the country are trafficked against their will by crime groups from Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Russia, China, Colombia, Brazil and Nigeria as reported by Suzanne Daley for The New York Times: "advocates and police officials say that most of the women are controlled by illegal networks — they are modern-day slaves."
