A sentencing hearing slated earlier this week for reputed Gambino associate Frank "the Meatball" Bellantoni was adjourned to June 13 after the feds said he had not yet coughed up $10,000 in ill-gotten gains as reported by Bruce Golding for the New York Post. The Meatball's defense lawyer said his client "would pay off the debt once he gets out of prison" but a federal prosecutor insisted "the guy has money." Bellantoni "pleaded guilty in February to racketeering conspiracy to cover more than a decade's worth of crimes, including loansharking, bookmaking and running illegal card games," and when eventually sentenced he faces up to 3 1/2 years in prison pursuant to his plea agreement.
