Apparently, the best waters in which to scavenge for pot is the Pacific Ocean off Southern California.
Over the weekend the U.S. Navy recovered 186 bales of marijuana that was dumped by three smuggling boats as reported by Nathan Max for U-T San Diego. Apparently, the sailors were no match for the smugglers: "nobody was apprehended and the three boats sped off after dropping their load, said Lt. Aaron Kakiel, spokesman with Naval Air Forces Pacific."
Last May U.S. law enforcement authorities discovered 180 bales of marijuana floating in the ocean fifteen miles off Dana Point.
