One if by land, two if by sea.
The Mexican drug cartels no longer are just smuggling their product over the land border into the United States but have taken to the high seas on the West Coast as reported by Robert J. Lopez for the Los Angeles Times: "'Law enforcement authorities have seen an increase in waterborne smuggling of illicit drugs, as well as illegal immigrants, from the U.S.-Mexico border as far north as Santa Barbara County,' Capt. James Jenkins, commander of the Coast Guard's Los Angeles/Long Beach sector, said in a statement."
