Alex Yaari, a convicted killer whom Canadian authorities allege was among the first wave of Russian mobsters to invade the Great White North, is under investigation by French authorities for the 1989 murder of a Parisian art dealer in Moscow as reported by Peter Edwards for the Toronto Star. Yaari’s lawyer "notes that French authorities made no mention of charging Yaari with anything connected to Mafiye membership or activity," and says "it means to me that nobody gave credit to these allegations."
