Reputed Gambino associate Todd LaBarca has been sentenced to 23 years for his involvement in the crime family's drug rackets and his role in the murder of a rival dealer, and at the sentencing hearing Manhattan federal prosecutor Elie Honig said LaBarca "was so enamored with the gangster life that he talked about recruiting his teenage son and the boy's friends into his crew" as reported by Bruce Golding for the New York Post.
