For decades the FBI's Boston field office used reputed Patriarca capo Mark Rossetti as an informant, and Rep. Stephen Lynch says that although the Bureau's internal review has not been completed "early indications show the relationship was questionable" as reported by Milton J. Valencia for The Boston Globe: "Lynch said in a recent interview that he and other congressional leaders have met several times privately with FBI officials, and that the agency’s internal probe is ongoing." A Massachusetts jury convicted Rossetti last month for orchestrating a home burglary to steal drugs and money, and he still faces trial on other charges including extortion and drug trafficking. Rossetti further is a suspect in six murders according to a law enforcement source.
