The FBI has discovered thousands of new emails pertinent to its earlier investigation of Hillary Clinton's duplicitous use of a private server which carelessly put national security and classified information at risk, and accordingly re-opened its criminal inquiry into the Clinton crew as reported by Zero Hedge.
Storied journalist Carl Bernstein of Watergate fame aptly notes that the FBI would not have re-opened the criminal investigation unless the material is "a real bombshell" as reported by Real Clear Politics:
Well, there's no question that the e-mails have always been the greatest threat to her candidacy for president, that her conduct in regard to the e-mails is really indefensible and if there was going to be more information that came out, it was the one thing, as I said on the air last night, actually that could really perhaps affect this election. We don't know what this means yet except that it's a real bombshell. And it is unthinkable that the Director of the FBI would take this action lightly, that he would put this letter forth to the Congress of the United States saying there is more information out there about classified e-mails and call it to the attention of congress unless it was something requiring serious investigation. So that's where we are.
The FBI discovered the new emails while investigating Anthony Weiner, the one-time Congressman from New York married to Hillary Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin, who allegedly texted nasty messages to an underage girl on a laptop shared by Weiner and Abedin.
Abedin separated from Weiner after the alleged sexting with the young girl, and at that time Donald Trump presciently observed in a released statement that "Huma is making a very wise decision" as reported by Mediaite:
I know Anthony Weiner well, and she will be far better off without him. I only worry for the country in that Hillary Clinton was careless and negligent in allowing Weiner to have such close proximity to highly classified information. Who knows what he learned and who he told? It's just another example of Hillary Clinton's bad judgment. It is possible that our country and its security have been greatly compromised by this.
Say what you will about Trump, he's often right on.
