Reputed Lucchese associate Alfonso Cataldo claims he's too poor to afford a lawyer to defend him against gambling charges but apparently records show that he and his wife own three homes in Morris County, NJ worth more than $2 million and the pair were making monthly mortgage payments between $3,300 and $4,500 on two of those properties as reported by George Anastasia for philly.com.
