It appears that plummeting record sales aren't Lady Gaga's only concerns this week.
The pop star was hit yesterday with a class action lawsuit which alleges she and her affiliates may have violated racketeering laws in promoting Japan Earthquake Relief wristbands according to a press release by the law firm which filed the case in a Michigan federal court.
The lawsuit alleges that Lady Gaga promised "all proceeds go directly to Japan relief efforts" but an undisclosed portion of the $5 charged for each wristband is retained, and the portion of the $3.99 shipping charges in excess of actual shipping costs is retained.
