In Naples, Italy three sisters – Lena, Giuseppina and Patrizia Aprea – have been charged with leading a powerful Camorra or Neapolitan Mafia clan following the imprisonment of their brother Vincenzo, and officials allege "Lena took the role of the clan's 'official' spokesman with other crime families; Giuseppina took care of cash flow and Mafiosi paychecks, and Patrizia handled the family's books" as reported by UPI. The three sisters were arrested with thirteen other suspected members and associates from the Aprea clan, and the defendants variously have been charged with murder, drug trafficking, mafia association and other crimes.
