Anthony Calabro went from building things as a union carpenter to burying bodies for the Colombo family, and now instead of earning a six-figure salary as an honest man he'll be serving 41 months as a convicted mobster as reported by John Marzulli for the Daily News.
At his sentencing hearing yesterday on fraud and loansharking convictions Calabro blamed his older brother Dino for corrupting him into the life.
Ironically, big bro a/k/a Big Dino later flipped to become a government witness in the racketeering trial against alleged former Colombo street boss Thomas "Tommy Shots" Gioeli and reputed soldier Dino "Little Dino" Saracino who are accused of multiple murders including underboss William "Wild Bill" Cutolo and associate Richard Greaves.
Anthony Calabro admitted to helping bury Cutolo and Greaves, and to add insult to injury said he kicked the Greaves corpse before dumping it into the ground.
Meanwhile, the jury continues to deliberate on the charges against Tommy Shots and Little Dino.
